On July 4 and 5, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old with two counts of assault.
Around 8:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a disturbance involving youth on the boardwalk on St. Mary’s River Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the three accused assaulted a youth victim by punching them and punched an adult victim who attempted to intervene. The accused and the youth victim are known to one another. No physical injuries were reported.
Shortly before and after midnight, officers located and arrested all three accused. The accused are each charged with two counts of assault. They were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in court on September 29, 2026.
