Walk-In Reporting

Members of the public are welcome to report incidents in person at Division 2 during business hours. A duty officer will be available on site to assist you. To access the building, please use the south entrance (from the parking lot). An intercom system is available to request entry. The facility is fully accessible.

FAQs

A special Patrol Services unit—called the Division 2 Unit—works out of the Division 2 building. Comprised of six constables and a sergeant, this unit is tasked with a range of duties including bicycle patrol, beat patrol, targeted patrol, community engagement, crime prevention, and addressing other issues impacting the downtown area.

In addition to the Division 2 Unit, a duty officer and members from Traffic Services, the Canine Unit, and the Central Support Bureau—including a Sergeant, Community Safety Officer, Elementary School Liaison Officer, and the High School Liaison Officer—work at 180 Brock. A Staff Sergeant is assigned to supervise all members working out of Division 2.

Our Division 2 building is also shared with community partners, including the Collision Reporting CentreVictim Services of Algoma, and Crime Stoppers.

Yes. The Police Services Building at 580 Second Line East typically remains open to the public for walk-ins Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays).

No. Effective, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Collision Reporting Centre no longer operates out of the Police Services Building at 580 Second Line East. 

Those who are required to attend the Collision Reporting Centre must visit 180 Brock Street.
