On July 6, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 19-year-old Samantha Arnott with harassing communications.
Between approximately 6:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., the accused called the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service non-emergency phone line more than 60 times with no legitimate reason. The accused is also on conditions to not call police unless there is an emergency. Officers were dispatched to the accused’s residence. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Harassing Communications
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
