Youth Charged with Using Imitation Firearm
On April 23, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged a 15-year-old youth with mischief, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Around 2:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a youth pointing and firing a cap gun at people in the 200 block of Bay Street. Upon arrival, officers located, identified, and arrested the suspect, who they identified as the accused. The cap gun was located nearby.
The accused is charged with:
- Mischief x2
- Using Imitation Firearm in Commission of Offence x2
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x2
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
