Three Found Unlawfully in Vacant Unit, Charged

On April 3, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 41-year-old Allan Wood with being unlawfully in a dwelling house, possession of a schedule I substance, and obstructing a peace officer. 36-year-old Alana Agawa and 36-year-old Amanda Currie were also charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house.

Around 9:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of people unlawfully entering a vacant unit in a multi-unit residence building in the 100 block of East Street. Officers were dispatched to the building and saw three people leaving.

Upon speaking with the three accused, Currie and Agawa provided their real identities while Wood provided a false identity. A subsequent search found this accused was also in possession of approximately two grams of suspected fentanyl. All three were arrested.

41-year-old Allan Wood is charged with:

  • Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance
  • Obstruct Peace Officer

This accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

36-year-old Alana Agawa was charged with:

  • Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

This accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 3, 2024.

36-year-old Amanda Currie is charged with:

  • Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

This accused was also released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 3, 2024.
