On September 28, 2026, officers with the Division 2 Unit charged 41-year-old Ashley Hansford with seven counts of possession of an identity document and other offences.
Around 9:30 a.m., officers conducting a property check in the 700 block of Queen Street East located the accused and arrested them on an outstanding warrant. Upon searching the accused, officers located multiple identification documents that did not belong to them — several of which had been reported stolen in June and July of 2026.
The accused is charged with:
- Possession of an Identity Document x7
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x4
- Failure to Attend Court After Having Appeared
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
