On October 1, 2026, officers with the Division 2 Unit charged 30-year-old Mary Werth with arson and mischief.
Around 9:15 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report that the accused had started a fire in a dumpster in the 200 block of Wellington Street West. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the accused had started the fire between 3:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. before leaving the area.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m., officers located and arrested the accused. The accused is charged with:
- Arson – Damage to Property
- Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on January 4, 2027.
