The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has been approved to hire seventeen new officers over the next four years and, with several members becoming eligible for retirement soon, additional job openings are likely.
“Now is a great time to get an application in,” encourages Derek MacFarlane, Sergeant of Uniform Recruitment. “We are doing lots of hiring. If you’re qualified and are interested in a career in policing, don’t hesitate to apply.”
Sault Police are committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the community it serves. Through its new recruiting video, the service hopes to inspire a new generation of police officers who are eager to contribute their skills, perspectives, and passion for public service.
