Man Charged with Weapon Offences
On February 3, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 35-year-old Richard Mullen with assault with a weapon.
In the evening hours, police were called to attend Sault Area Hospital as the accused was holding a knife and a hatchet, threatening staff and damaging property. Officers attended and the accused was arrested. No physical injuries were sustained during the incident.
He is charged with,
- Assault with a Weapon x4
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x2
- Uttering Threats x4
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Intimidation – Health Care Workers
- Breach of Probation – Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour x2
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
