Assault Charge Laid
On February 6, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 29-year-old Shantelle Webster with assault and failure to comply with probation order.
Around 8:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. Investigation revealed the accused, who is being held in custody there on an unrelated matter, assaulted a fellow inmate by punching them.
The accused was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused continues to be held in custody.
