Assault, Assault with Weapon Charges Laid
On November 19, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 30-year-old Melinda Robinson with assault and assault with a weapon.
On November 10, 2023, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at a business in the 200 block of Second Line West. While the accused had left the business prior to officers arriving, investigation revealed they had thrown a hot beverage at one employee and pushed and scratched a second employee. The employees sustained minor physical injuries. Police obtained a warrant for the accused’s arrest.
On November 19, police attended the accused’s residence, and they were arrested on the strength of the warrant.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault with Weapon
- Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on January 22, 2023.
