Wanted Person Found with $55,650 of Fentanyl, Charged
On December 6, 2024, detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit charged 36-year-old Daniel Lepage with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and other offences.
Around 10:00 p.m., detectives patrolling Wellington Street West saw the accused exit a vehicle and knew they had a warrant for their arrest. They were arrested.
A subsequent search of the accused found them to be in possession of approximately 367 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately six grams of suspected cocaine, $305 in Canadian currency, drug packaging materials, and a scale with suspected drug residue. The total estimated street value of drugs seized is $55,650.
The accused is charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Schedule I Substance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
- Failure to Attend Court After Having Appeared
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
