Shooting Investigation
Around 7:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025, a shooting took place on the property of the Community Resource Centre at 721 Wellington Street East.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Detectives with Investigation Services are currently investigating and believe this is an isolated incident, as the victim and the suspect are believed to be known to each other.
Members of the Emergency Services Unit are currently conducting a search for evidence from Wellington Street East to East Street. There will be an increased police presence as the search is underway.
