Search Warrant Executed, Two Charged

On January 22, 2025, detectives with the Crime Suppression Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit charged 46-year-old Berni Nadon (hereafter referred to as the first accused) with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a schedule I substance, and possession of property obtained by crime. 47-year-old Vicky Springbett (hereafter referred to as the second accused) was also charged with possession of a schedule I substance.

In January 2025, detectives began a drug investigation involving the first accused. On January 22, detectives executed a search warrant at a unit, belonging to the first accused, within a multi-unit residential building in the 400 block of Pim Street. Seven individuals were located inside the residence; five of whom were released unconditionally. The two accused were arrested.

A search of the first accused’s residence located approximately four grams of suspected cocaine, less than one gram of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, cellular devices, debt books, packaging materials, a cutting agent, and $65 in Canadian currency. A subsequent search of the first accused found them to be in possession of approximately $6,335 in Canadian currency. A search of the second accused located approximately two grams of suspected methamphetamine. The total estimated street value of drugs seized is approximately $776.

The first accused is charged with:

  • Possession of Scheduled I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The first accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The second accused is charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I Substance

The second accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17, 2025.
