Operation While Impaired, Dangerous Operation Charges Laid
On October 4, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 22-year-old Tyler Gauthier with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
Around midnight, 911 Communicators received a report of a single motor vehicle collision in the 0-100 block of Lethbridge Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle in a ditch and a damaged fence on the property. Upon speaking with the driver, who identified themselves as the accused, officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
The accused provided multiple breath samples into an approved screening device and all registered above the legal limit. They were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
- Dangerous Operation
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on October 28, 2024.
