One Charged with Possession of Cross Bows Contrary to Prohibition Order

On September 27, 2024, detectives with the Crime Suppression Unit charged 30-year-old Joseph Boyer with possession of weapons contrary to a prohibition order and failure to comply with probation order.

Around 6:00 p.m., detectives patrolling near Wellington Street East and Bruce Street came across the accused, who they knew to be wanted on a warrant. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and the accused was arrested. A search of the accused’s vehicle found them to be in possession of three cross bows – breaching the conditions of their prohibition order.

The accused is charged with:

  • Possession of Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order x4
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order x3

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 25, 2024.
