One Charged with Operation While Impaired, Dangerous Operation, & Fail to Stop

Approved by: 270 - October 15, 2024

On October 11, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 46-year-old Sean Marlow with operation while impaired, dangerous operation, and failure to stop after an accident.

Around 5:20 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a vehicle driving erratically and running a red light at Third Line East and Great Northern Road. Soon after, 911 Communicators received a report of the same vehicle crashing into a ditch and damaging a retaining wall in front of a residence in the 0-100 block of Parkshore Drive. Officers were dispatched to the area. Although the driver had walked away from the scene prior to officers’ arrival, they were located nearby. The accused did not sustain physical injuries.

Upon speaking with the driver, who was identified as the accused, officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The accused provided multiple breath samples into an approved screening device and all registered above the legal limit. They were arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Failure to Stop After Accident

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on November 4, 2024.
