One Charged with Operation While Impaired, Dangerous Operation

Approved by: 1030 - December 17, 2024

On December 16, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 36-year-old Dustin Bouchard with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.

Around 3:30 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Shannon Road and Riverside Drive. It was reported a truck travelling at a high rate of speed had driven over a snowbank, through a guard rail, and onto a walking trail. Officers were dispatched to the scene, where they located the truck as described.

Upon speaking with the driver, who was outside the truck attempting to remove it from the snowbank, officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. They were arrested. The accused provided multiple breath samples into an approved screening device, all of which registered above the legal limit.

The accused is charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on January 13, 2025.
