On November 1, 2024, detectives with the Technological Crime Unit, with assistance from the Crime Suppression Unit and Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team, charged 44-year-old Michael Slivinsky of Goulais River, Ontario, with accessing child pornography, agreement to commit a sexual offence against a person under 16 years of age, and several other offences.
