One Charged with Dangerous Operation, Operation While Impaired, and Possession of Schedule I Substance
On September 27, 2024, officers with Patrol Services, with assistance from Traffic Services, charged 47-year-old Gregory Belleau with dangerous operation, operation while impaired, and possession of a schedule I substance.
Around 11:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a motor vehicle collision between a car and a transport truck and trailer at the intersection of Black Road and Second Line East. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon officers’ arrival, the accused was in the driver’s seat of the car, which sustained significant damage. The accused sustained minor physical injuries and was transported to hospital, where they were later arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused was driving the car at a high rate of speed when they drove through a red light and struck the transport truck. The driver of the transport truck did not sustain physical injuries. The transport truck sustained moderate damage. A search of the accused located approximately 14 grams of suspected cocaine.

- Dangerous Operation
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Possession of Schedule I Substance
- Red Light – Fail to Stop (Under the Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit (Under the Highway Traffic Act)
- Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway – No Insurance (Under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act)
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on October 21, 2024.
