One Charged with Dangerous Operation, Flight from Peace Officer, Several Other Offences
On November 10, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 34-year-old Cheyenne Jones with dangerous operation, failure to stop after an accident, flight from peace officer, and several other offences.
Around 12:20 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a motor vehicle collision hit and run at the intersection of MacDonald Avenue and Pim Street. It was reported a driver rear ended a victim’s vehicle, which was stopped at the intersection, and drove away. Officers were dispatched to the area.
Officers located the vehicle pulling into a parking lot in the 200 block of Northern Avenue East and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver – later identified as the accused – got out of their vehicle, got back in, drove over a curb, and drove away from police and around a building. Officers followed and located the accused walking away from their vehicle. They were arrested.

- Flight from Peace Officer
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
- Failure to Stop After Accident
- Careless Driving (under the Highway Traffic Act)
- Driving While Under Suspension (under the Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
