One Charged with Break and Enter, Theft, Mischief, and More
On October 5, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 45-year-old Cory Gostlin with break and enter, possession of break in instruments, theft, mischief, and failure to comply with a probation order.
Around 6:40 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a break and enter at a business in the 500 block of Third Line East. Although the accused had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival, an investigation revealed the accused had broken into the property and had stolen materials which were critical to the functioning of the business.
Around 8:20 p.m., the accused was a short distance from the business on the hub trail and arrested. Nearby, officers located a suitcase full of stolen materials and break in instruments.
The accused is charged with:
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Mischief – Over $5,000
- Possession of Break in Instruments
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Theft – Under $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 2, 2024.
