One Charged with Break and Enter, Sexual Assault
On February 18, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 91-year-old James St. Germain with break and enter and sexual assault.
Around 4:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a break and enter and sexual assault which had occurred on February 13, 2025. An investigation revealed the accused had broken into the residence of the victim and began to sexually assault them while they were asleep. The victim and accused are familiar to one another but have had minimal contact prior to this incident. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
- Sexual Assault
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 14, 2025.
