One Charged with Assaulting Rideshare Driver, Police Officer
On November 22, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 24-year-old Montana Kapashesit with assault, mischief, and assaulting a peace officer.
Around 2:45 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an assault in the area of St. George’s Avenue East and Grand Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to the area. An investigation revealed the accused had ordered a ride from a rideshare service and had damaged the driver’s vehicle and punched them in the face twice. They were arrested. After their arrest, the accused kicked an officer.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault
- Assault Peace Officer
- Mischief Under $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on January 27, 2025.
