One Charged with Assault with Weapon
On May 4, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 40-year-old Korry White with assault with a weapon, assault, and several other offences.
Around 10:40 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone physically fighting security officers at a business in the 200 block of Bay Street. Officers were dispatched to the business. Upon officers’ arrival, the accused was in custody of security. They were arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused had assaulted security officers when asked to leave the business by pushing a shopping cart into them as well as punching, kicking, and biting them. The victims sustained minor physical injuries. The accused was also found to be in possession of a knife which opens by centrifugal force.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault with Weapon
- Assault x2
- Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon
- Possession of Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x3
The accused was held in custody pending a hearing in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court.
