One Charged with Assault, Dangerous Operation, After Driving Truck into Business

On June 24, 2024, officers with Traffic Services charged 34-year-old Christopher Dupuis with assault with a weapon, dangerous operation, and mischief over $5,000.

Around 2:10 p.m., 911 Communicators received a call from the accused and staff at a business in the 600 block of Trunk Road about a dispute. Shortly thereafter, 911 Communicators received a report from the business that the accused had driven their truck through the front door of the building and then left the scene.

Upon arrival at the business, officers observed significant damage to the building. One victim sustained minor physical injuries from flying glass and received medical attention. While officers were on scene, the accused called 911 again to advise they were on their way to the Police Services Building to turn themselves in.

Around 2:35 p.m., the accused arrived in the parking lot of the Police Services building and they were arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Assault with Weapon
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Mischief Over $5,000

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2024.
