One Charged with Assault
On October 26, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 49-year-old Jessica Roach of Garden River, Ontario, with assault.
On September 28, 2024, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault in the 0-100 block of La Chaumiere Place. An investigation revealed the accused had been in a verbal argument with someone known to them and struck them twice. The victim sustained minor physical injuries. A warrant was obtained for their arrest.
Around 3:15 a.m. on October 26, 2024, Sault Police were contacted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) who advised they had the accused in custody. Officers were dispatched to the CBSA and arrested the accused. The accused is charged with assault.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on December 23, 2024.
