One Charged in Helmeted Headbutt Assault
On September 27, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 40-year-old Tommy Kidder with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a probation order.
On August 22, 2024, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at a multi-unit residence building in the 200 block of Wellington Street West. Although the accused left prior to officers’ arrival, an investigation revealed the accused, who is known to the victim, had headbutted them while wearing a helmet. The victim sustained minor physical injuries. A warrant was obtained for the accused’s arrest.
On September 27, 2024, officers located the accused in the 0-100 block of Elliot Road. They were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 25, 2024.
