Man Charged with Trafficking
On February 3, 2022, officers with the Drug Enforcement Unit and Patrol Services charged 32-year-old Jordan Porter with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Around 9:00 p.m. officers observed a man on a bicycle travelling north bound on Carmen’s Way without lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the man identified him as the accused. Officers discovered he was wanted for breach of probation and he was arrested.
A subsequent search found him to be in possession of approximately 16 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, approximately 18 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, 41 pills of a substance believed to be benzodizapine and $3,780 in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $10,438.
He is charged with,
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Breach of Probation
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 4, 2022.
