Information Circulating on Social Media Re. a Firearm at local Schools
Public Information
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is reporting that information is circulating on a number of social media platforms that:
(1) an automated message has been sent to parents warning of firearm incident at a local school.
(2) a firearm was brought to a local school.
(3) a local school is in lock down.
(4) parents should attend local schools and pick-up there children at their discretion.
Sault Ste. Marie Police can advise that investigation has revealed that none of the above information is correct.
