Check Halloween Candy
On November 1, 2024, around 5:30 p.m., officers with Patrol Services received a report of Halloween candy that had been tampered with.
The candy in question was a box of Smartie brand chocolates that appeared to have a hole in it, and the box was wet. It’s believed the candy was collected around John Street and Albert Street from someone who was handing out candy from their vehicle.
The candy was not eaten, and no physical injuries were reported. No description of the person or the vehicle was provided. No charges have been laid.
This is a reminder for parents and guardians to please check any items collected by children on Halloween to ensure it is safe to eat.
