Youth Charged with Aggravated Assault
On August 1, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged a 13-year-old with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Around 10:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a disturbance on Ferguson Avenue. Upon arrival officers found a victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation revealed the accused and the victim, who are known to each other, were arguing when it escalated, and the accused stabbed the victim. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with,
• Aggravated Assault
• Assault with a Weapon
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 8, 2024.
