Prince Township
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service continues to serve the people of Prince Township, as well as the Sault. The community is located west and north of Sault Ste. Marie’s municipal boundary, and is home to 1,010 people, according to the 2016 Canada Census.
While Prince Township is not a large municipality, the people there have access to excellent programs and services. One of the most popular EarlyON Learning Centres is located inside the township office; so is a local library. The community is also served by its volunteer Fire Department. The history of the area is important to those who live there, which is evident by the local museum, which is housed in the Prince United Church. It was established in 1885.
Gros Cap, a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts, and part of Prince Township, is connected to the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail.
The largely rural community and Sault Police have had an ongoing partnership since 1999. Our members are proud to serve the fine people of Prince Township.
