One Charged with Sexual Assault
On July 7, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 23-year-old Nicholas Cardinal with sexual assault and being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
Around 8:40 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a sexual assault in Steelton area. Upon arrival, officers located the accused and placed them under investigative detention.
An investigation revealed the accused had entered the victim’s residence unannounced and sexually assaulted them. The accused was arrested. The accused and the victim have had minimal contact before.
The accused is charged with:
- Sexual Assault
- Unlawfully in Dwelling House
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
