One Charged with Robbery, Assault with Weapon
On July 7, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 35-year-old Jeffrey Rivard with robbery and assault with a weapon.
Around 8:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 200 block of Northern Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the accused, who matched the suspect’s description. They were arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused had stolen several items from the business, threatened an employee with one of the items, and punched an employee while leaving the store. A search of the accused located a prohibited knife opening by centrifugal force.
The accused is charged with:
- Robbery
- Assault with Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
