One Charged with Robbery, Assault Peace Officer
On August 6, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 35-year-old Justin Tessier with robbery and assaulting a peace officer.
Around 1:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone having been detained by security officers at a business in the 200 block of Bay Street. Officers were dispatched to the business and found the accused in custody of security officers. They were arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused was seen stealing items from the business and was confronted by security officers. As security officers attempted to gain physical control of the accused, the accused bit and kicked them.
The accused is charged with:
- Robbery
- Assault Peace Officer
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
