One Charged with Possession of Schedule I Substance, Operation While Prohibited
On July 17, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 59-year-old Scott Carson with possession of a schedule I substance and operation while prohibited.
Around 10:20 a.m., officers patrolling the area of Cathcart Street and Carmen’s Way conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle and identified the driver as the accused. An investigation revealed the accused was a suspended driver with a warrant for failing to attend court. They were arrested.
A search of the accused found them to be in possession of approximately 17 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation While Prohibited
- Possession of Schedule I Substance
- Fail to Comply with Release Order x2
- Fail to Attend Court After Having Appeared
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
