One Charged with Possession for Purpose of Trafficking, Carrying Concealed Weapon
On April 2, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 43-year-old Brian Desmoulin with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon, and several other offences.
Around 10:20 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of the accused being in possession of what appeared to be a firearm in the 100 block of Tancred Street. Officers were dispatched to the scene where they located and arrested the accused. A search of the accused located two replica firearms, approximately 10.35 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 6.46 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 1.27 grams of suspected fentanyl, and approximately $1,000 in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of drugs seized is approximately $1,871.50.

- Carry Concealed Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Schedule I Substance x2
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing and subsequently remanded.
