One Charged with Operation While Impaired, Obstructing Peace Officer
On March 29, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 38-year-old Jeffrey Nakogee with operation while impaired, obstructing a peace officer, and several other offences.
Around 9:45 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 100 block of Glasgow Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon speaking with the driver, who identified themselves with a name which is not theirs, officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs. The accused participated in a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) and failed. They were arrested. The accused was then evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) who determined the accused was under the influence of drugs.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking x2
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
