One Charged with Attempt to Commit Murder
On July 10, 2024, detectives with Investigation Services upgraded 18-year-old Hestin Ketola’s previously laid aggravated assault charge to attempt to commit murder.
Around 6:00 p.m., detectives attended the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre (ATRC) to rearrest the accused for attempt to commit murder. This charge was laid in connection with an incident which took place on June 23, 2024, for which the accused is already in custody and charged with aggravated assault and fail to comply with probation order.
The accused continues to be held in custody at ATRC on these, and other, charges.
