The Civilian members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are an integral part of the service we provide to the community. Civilians are often the first point of contact for people reaching out to Police.
Approximately 70 civilians work in a range of areas of the Service; including 911 communications, court services, investigation services and central records. Civilian members allow our officers to complete their tasks more effectively as they are responsible for many data entry and administrative tasks associated with policing.
