The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service continues to investigate a death in the 1200 block of Trunk Road.
Today, there will be an increased police presence in the area as members of the Emergency Services Unit will be conducting a grid search.
This investigation began around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, when people walking in the area discovered the deceased person in a wooded area off Trunk Road.
Detectives with the Forensic Identification Unit and Investigation Services continue to actively investigate.
