On March 31, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged an 18-year-old1 (hereafter referred to as the first accused) and a 15-year-old youth (hereafter referred to as the second accused) with robbery. On April 1, 2026, officers with the Division 2 Unit charged a 16-year-old youth (hereafter referred to as the third accused) with robbery and weapon offences.
Around 11:50 a.m. on March 31, 2026, 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery in the 600 block of Goulais Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the three accused threw a youth to the ground before kicking and punching them and stealing several of their belongings. The victim and three accused are known to one another. No physical injuries were reported.
The first and second accused were arrested and charged with robbery.
On April 1, 2026, officers located and arrested the third accused. A search of the third accused located a large knife concealed in their bag.
The third accused is charged with:
- Robbery
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
All three accused were held in custody pending bail hearings.
