On June 2, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 33-year-old Anthony Kessler with robbery and three counts of theft.
On April 6, 2026, Sault Police received a report of a robbery at a business in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard in which a suspect threatened to physically harm a security guard when confronted about stealing. On three more occasions between April 7, 2026, and May 10, 2026, it was reported that the same suspect returned to the business and stole more items. An investigation revealed the identity of the suspect as the accused.
Around 4:10 a.m. on June 2, 2026, officers located and arrested the accused. The accused is charged with:
- Robbery
- Theft – Under $5,000 x3
- Fail to Comply with Appearance Notice – Court/Fingerprinting
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
