On May 3, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 52-year-old Anthony Hunt with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
Around 12:40 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a person asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the 0-100 block of Edison Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon speaking with the driver, officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. They were arrested.
The accused was transported to the Police Services Building and provided multiple breath samples to a qualified technician, all of which registered above the legal limit.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and/or Drug
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
- Dangerous Operation
The accused was released on an appearance notice.
