One Charged with Operation While Impaired, Dangerous Operation
On April 12, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 39-year-old James Gray with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
Around 8:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received reports of a vehicle speeding and driving erratically on Great Northern Road. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the vehicle in the 700 block of North Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and, upon speaking with the driver, developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. They were arrested.
The accused provided multiple breath samples to a certified breath technician, all of which registered above the legal limit.
The accused is charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
- Dangerous Operation
- Fail to Notify Change of Address – Licence (under the Highway Traffic Act)
- Fail to Notify Change of Address (under the Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on May 12, 2025.
