On September 1, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 49-year-old Trina McPherson with theft, fraud, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Around 11:20 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report that a person had stolen a victim’s bag in the 100 block of Gore Street and used their bank cards to make fraudulent transactions. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the suspect, identified as the accused, carrying the bag in the 0-100 block of Bay Street. They were arrested.
Further investigation revealed the accused had stolen the victim’s bag and used the victim’s cards to make four purchases at three different businesses.
The accused is charged with:
- Fraud – Under $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000
- Theft – Under $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 16, 2026.
