On April 30, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 34-year-old Kyle Maitland with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and several other offences.
Around 12:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone with a concealed firearm in the 500 block of Trunk Road. Officers were dispatched to the scene and arrested the accused. Upon searching the accused, officers located and seized a pellet gun.
The accused is charged with:
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device, or Ammunition
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court x2
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
