On August 30, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged 44-year-old Jason Dobler with break and enter, mischief, and criminal harassment.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an unknown person damaging a victim’s residence and vehicle in the 200 block of Central Street. As officers were on their way to the scene, 911 Communicators received additional reports of the suspect breaking into a building in the 600 block of Wallace Terrace. The suspect, later identified as the accused, was located inside and arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused had approached a victim, who is not known to them, in a threatening manner. Once the victim retreated inside their residence, the accused caused significant damage to the victim’s residence, vehicle, and other property. The accused then left the scene and broke into a building. No physical injuries were reported.
The accused is charged with:
- Break and Enter – Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
- Mischief – Over $5,000
- Criminal Harassment – Threatening Conduct
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 16, 2026.
