One Charged with Assault with a Weapon
On September 18, 2025, officers with Patrol Services charged 27-year-old Devon Reed with assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a probation order.
Shortly before 9:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an assault in the 600 block of Wellington Street East. Officers were dispatched to the scene. An investigation revealed the accused assaulted a victim, who is not known to them, with a belt when they were asked to leave a property. Officers located the accused in the 700 block of Wellington Street East, and they were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 17, 2025.
